Karen VoloshinFor the past two decades, Karen has designed and facilitated learning experiences for leaders at all levels, individual contributors, teams and training professionals. During that time, she has designed thousands of hours of engaging and results driven learning to help individuals and organizations succeed in today’s complex and global business environment.

A published author, leadership expert and content curator, Karen can be counted on to identify and work within the combination of learning modalities that will generate the best outcomes-ranging from face-to-face and virtual classrooms, to elearning and on-the-job development experiences to microlearning and content resource portals. Karen offers global experience and expertise across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, retail, technology and pharmaceuticals.

Prior to co-founding DesignArounds, Karen held human resource and learning leadership positions at Zenger Miller (now AchieveForum), Citicorp, Reader’s Digest and Cigna. She also worked on contract with General Electric, designing and spearheading training to support their business transformation efforts through Work-Out and 6 Sigma. An experienced team and individual effectiveness coach, Karen received her coach training from CTI, endorsed by the International Coaches Federation and is a credentialed MBTI and Oases in the Overwhelm (stress management) practitioner.

Julie Winkle Giulioni

Julie Winkle GiulioniWith more than two decades of professional experience, Julie Winkle Giulioni consults with a wide range of organizations and businesses to improve productivity and results through learning and development. She works with clients domestically and internationally to design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate performance improvement strategies in support of business needs. Specializing in commercial product development and custom training, Julie and DesignArounds provide learning that works.

Previous to founding DesignArounds, Julie led the product development effort at AchieveGlobal, the world’s largest training provider. In that role, she architected, conducted and published feasibility and competency research. She conceived and developed award-winning products that included electronic and non-electronic assessment, instructional and reinforcement components. Managing cross-functional and international teams of marketing, creative, instructional design, writing, video/audio and production professionals, she led the creation and launch of products that are used in tens of thousands of organizations worldwide.

Industry awards and recognition include Human Resource Executive Magazine’s Top Ten Training Products, Training Industry Editor’s Readership Award, Global HR Excellence Award for Strategic Leadership, New Media Invision, ITVA, New York Film Festival, Lguide recognition for developing “e-learning at its best.” Julie has been published in Training Industry Quarterly, CLO Magazine, Leadership Excellence, Talent Management, The Professional Journal of HRPS, Training Magazine, AFSM International Journal, T&D, HRM Asia, The Professional Journal, Academy of Human Resource Development and High Technology Service Management.
